Everyone Has a Story

The Center for Digital Storytelling tells the extraordinary stories of seemingly ordinary people. Using a combination of photos and audio clips, the CDS has created a number of moving, powerful stories in a number of different categories. My latest favorite is “Unable” by RaNiqua who bravely shares a story about abuse in her family.

“I don’t think I even know what love is,” she says. “As long as I can recall, I’ve hid behind the fake smiles and kept my tears in.” Hearing her story in her own words is obviously the most powerful way to deliver the heart-breaking story of a girl who is ‘unable’ to love the person she calls dad.
